Regular overfilling during packaging leading to hidden costs without the root cause being clearly identifiable. This reduced the margin per product and made targeted optimization difficult. 

Implementation

In FASTEC 4 PRO, every single weighing process per package is recorded. A target weight is stored for each item. The system automatically calculates the giveaway – i.e. the difference between the target and actual weight – based on the total order quantity.

A live data point in the monitoring system shows the average of the last 50 packages, making changes in the process immediately visible. This allows employees to intervene directly before major deviations occur.

In addition, the giveaway can also be evaluated in the OEE pivot – both on an order-by-order basis and over longer periods of time.
